PLANS Version 2.12 -- Imperial units (feet and pounds) This is PLANS version 2.12. The software in this release represents the latest version of PLANS...however there is minimal documentation in this release version. PLANS is public domain software. You may copy and distribute PLANS as you see fit. If you distribute copies of this release version, please include this README file. The diskette contains 2 main files, INSTALL.EXE and EXAMPLE.EXE. INSTALL.EXE contains the PLANS programs and EXAMPLE.EXE contains an example data set. Both files were compressed using PKZIP and are self extracting. To install PLANS, make your floppy drive the current drive and type the following: INSTALL -d C:\PLANS This will install the PLANS software in a directory named PLANS on the C: drive. If you would like to use a different drive or directory, make the necessary changes. To install the example data set, make your floppy drive the current drive and type the following: EXAMPLE -d C:\PLANS Again, change the drive and directory as needed. To run PLANS, make the PLANS directory the current directory and type the following: PLANS The first thing you should do is select the "Setup" option to make any necessary changes to the PLANS configuration information. The second thing you should do is use the "Utilities -- Manage Projects" option to select a project. If you do not select a project, funny things can happen.
